Interventions for Out-of-School Children :

Setting up of Education Guarantee Centres such as Vasti Shalas, for the children at unserved habitations in rural areas. And alternative schooling facilities such as Mahatma Phule Education Guarantee Scheme for the out of school children in urban area. Rajiv Gandhi Sandhi Shala to be set up in areas where there are less no. of out of school children. Rajiv Gandhi Sandhi Shala can be opened for one out of school student also. Bridge courses, remedial courses and back to school camps for out of school children in order to mainstream them are undertaken. Rs. 1535/- per child per annum for primary and Rs. 2960/- per child per annum for upper primary are the cost norms of expenditure.
