Block Resource Centre :

Concept of establishing BRC at taluka centre (Panchayat Samitee Level) is to ensure academic support, capacity building, educational guidance and regular monitoring. This centre is virtual office of Block Education Officer with technical support like Data Entry Operators, Jr. Engineers, Block Co-ordinators, Resource Teachers and other personnel. Equipments such as computers, printers, and modem are provided to each BRC. The cost norm for BRC building are Rs.6 lac with 1775 sq.ft. built up areas and 1420 sq.ft. carpet area. 20 Resource Persons in a block with more than 100 schools and 10 Resource Persons in a block for 100 schools are provided. Resource Persons are filled in by the Experts from the existing teachers.

Cluster Resource Centre :

On the lines of BRC, CRC is sanctioned for one Central Primary School each. The cost norm for construction of CRC is Rs.2 lac. The construction is carried out by Village Education Committee with technical support and back up by SSA. It is a office for cluster co-ordinator.
